Storming the Beach – CRC Supports U.S. VETS – Long Beach
Hundreds of supporters recently laced up their running shoes to participate in the U.S. VETS – Long Beach 4th Annual Storm the Beach 5k/10k run, walk and roll. Held at the Aquatic Shoreline Park, funds raised at the event help provide housing, employment, mental health services and other crucial support to more than 800 veterans and their families every day. With a beautiful view of the beach, lighthouse, Queen Mary and CRC’s THUMS Islands as the back drop, participants – including CRC employees, family and friends – stormed and pushed their way through the iconic race course.
Located at the Villages at Cabrillo, U.S. VETS – Long Beach spans 27 acres of the former Cabrillo/Savannah Naval housing units and provides an array of services to veterans. In addition, the organization’s ADVANCE Women’s Program, the largest women-veteran program in the country, is designed to address the unique needs of female veterans and their children.
CRC is proud to partner with this outstanding organization. We are so appreciative of CRC’s employees who have served their country in military service, and our CRC family and friends for joining our team.
