CRC Hosts Elk Hills Tour for Taft College Foundation’s Petroleum Partners

CRC recently welcomed members of Taft College Foundation’s Petroleum Partners for a tour of CRC’s Elk Hills operations. Community leaders from business and industry, visitors from the Petroleum Partners, as well as elected officials, were able to see Elk Hills’ vast field operations. The group did a walk-through of our Consolidated Control Facility, the high-tech central control room where CRC technicians monitor field production from various fields in real-time around the clock. The tour also included a stop at CRC’s state-of-the-art power and gas processing complex for an in-depth look at the field, which helped provide attendees with a better understanding of oil and natural gas operations and the vital contributions the industry makes to California.

Following the conclusion of the tour, CRC presented Taft College Foundation with a $5,000 donation to support Taft College students, as well as the college’s Transition to Independent Living program that provides empowerment through education, as well as enriching interactive and inclusive collegiate experiences for students with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Over an eight-year span, CRC is proud to have donated more than $110,000 to Taft College.

The Taft College Foundation’s Petroleum Partners was established in 2014 to enhance the collaboration between oil and gas industry professionals, academics and students. By hosting semi-annual industry focused events and seminars, the Petroleum Partners continue to make a positive difference in our community and in shaping the future of our industry’s workforce.
