A CRC Family in Bakersfield Uses Holiday Cheer to Build a Charity and Help the Community

CRC employee Alex Vigil and his wife Nicole love the holiday season, and they love helping others even more! Together they founded Orlie’s Shoe Drive to help families in need in honor of Alex’s father, Orlie, who grew up as a child repairing his broken shoes with cardboard to make them last longer due to his family’s lack of money.

Orlie’s Shoe Drive is dedicated to providing new pairs of shoes to children from disadvantaged communities during the holiday season. Watch the 23ABC Bakersfield video below to learn more about the organization and how you can help!

Alex and Nicole, we salute you for your generosity and we thank you for being a California Resource!
