Understanding California Energy

Energy in California is complicated. As the fifth-largest economy in the world, the Golden State uses A LOT of energy from several different sources. Understanding it is not always easy given how it is discussed in the news. Sometimes it is drastically oversimplified, or conversations devolve into the costs of one form of energy and the virtues of another. But what is true is that energy is a complex subject that is made more intimidating because it involves science like physics.
We know we need reliable and affordable energy to keep our families healthy and secure, and it is time we have a realistic conversation about the far-off places where we are deciding to get our energy and send our hard-earned money.
