People Power California’s Oil Production
In order to remind Californians why the oil and gas industry is important to residents everywhere, Californians for Energy Independence just launched a public awareness campaign highlighting that oil and natural gas production in the Golden State is powered by diverse workers who take pride in what they do. They include single parents, second chancers, union members, veterans, and more, and they safely and responsibly produce oil and gas under the strictest regulations in the world. In addition, the industry provides $1.7 billion in state and local tax revenues to fund important public services including schools, first responders and fire safety in communities across the state.
Californians for Energy Independence is a coalition that supports state and local policies that allow for continued domestic energy production and opposes those policies that would hinder production and increase reliance on foreign oil.
