CRC Receives 22 Safety Awards, Achieves Best Safety Record in 2019

At CRC, health and safety leads everything we do. This isn’t just a slogan. We work actively to reduce potential risks in our operations by setting consistent expectations in our job planning and contractor selection, empowering and training our workforce as safety leaders, and supporting them with safe work practices, technology and rigorous maintenance and asset integrity programs.

CRC is very proud to have received 22 National Safety Achievement awards at the end of last year for our 2018 performance ratings. The National Safety Council recognized CRC’s exceptional safety performance in each of our operating areas and company-wide. Specifically, CRC Central Valley, Corporate Offices, Huntington Beach Field, Kettleman, Sacramento Basin, South Valley, THUMS Long Beach Company, Tidelands Production Company and Ventura were all 2019 recipients of the Occupational Excellence Achievement Award and Perfect Record Award.

Clint Harris, CRC Director of Safety, expressed his pride regarding the awards. “Safeguarding people and the environment in the design, operation and maintenance of our facilities is our number one HSE principle that applies to everything we do. Receiving these awards for incorporating this mindset into our One CRC culture is testament that we are leading the industry in safety by example.”

In addition, in 2019, CRC’s workforce achieved the best safety record in the long history of our fields and operations, with zero employee injuries for well over a year, and a safety rate for our combined workforce that is better than radio broadcasters, insurance agents and stockbrokers.
