CRC & LA Chargers Surprise Long Beach Kids with New Bikes for the Holidays!

With the season of giving upon us, CRC recently partnered with the Los Angeles Chargers and nonprofit Bikes for Kids to give 150 elementary students the surprise of a lifetime. Second to fourth grade students at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Long Beach wrote essays on what their dream job would be, hoping to win one of five grand prize bikes. But little did they know, they were all getting a bike!

Chargers football players surprised kids and teachers in the school auditorium to read the “winning essays” to a sea of excited faces. After chants of “ONE MORE BIKE” dwindled down and no bikes were left, tears of sadness on the faces of the unlucky kids soon turned to tears of immeasurable joy when they realized that they ALL would be going home with new bicycle, safety helmet and bike lock instead!
