CRC Golfs Fore! kidSTREAM
Held at the picturesque Elkins Ranch Golf Course in Fillmore, California, CRC organizes an annual Golf Tournament to benefit community groups. This year brought our employees and contractors from several CRC locations together in the southern and central areas of the state to play for the benefit of kidSTREAM – a new children’s museum located in Ventura County which provides an engaging environment where kids explore, play and discover!
Organized by event chair, Brandi Decker, CRC Land Negotiator, nearly 100 golfers took to the course. Brandi stated, “We were able to raise over $12,000 to support kidSTREAM. I’m proud of our efforts to help this children’s museum continue to expand especially since the foundation of their activities is based on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) which aligns with what CRC employees work on everyday.”
Kristie Akl, President, Board of Directors for kidSTREAM said, “We were so excited that CRC chose kidSTREAM as their beneficiary for their golf tournament fundraiser this year. Although the museum is still in its formative stages, we are traveling to where the children are so they have these educational opportunities.”
